Sunday Sept 9 - fall garden looks great

Beautiful day in the garden - blue skies and perfect temperature.  Pretty neat to see the fall garden already coming up!  Today we strawed the fall garden and took up about 4 or 5 rows of the tomato field.  Still need to finish it up, clean up the GH including pot rinsing and straighten up the barn and tool shed, and start taking up the squash field irrigation lines.  Still harvesting potatoes, sweet and hot peppers, tomatillos, okra and eggplant, sunflowers...but starting to wind down.  Sweet potatoes will be better after the first frost.

For anyone interested...the Friends of Jug Bay is sponsoring a superb and unique event...see details below.  It gets a huge thumbs up from yours truly!
