The South County Community Garden continues the farming tradition at River Farm (1972 photo above), and donates the majority of the food to various community organizations - usually 200+ bushels.
Sunday Sept 17 - tomato field all cleaned up
Finished pulling up all the plants, stakes, and irrigation lines in the tomato field! Still a few last flowers in the herb garden and the fall garden looks great! Harvested some sweet potatoes for the "Taste of the Wild" dinner and seniors, 2 flats of fingerlings and tomatillos.
