Saturday March 17 - potatoes onions & peas

Great day planting - glad the rain held off until we were finished. Awesome job everyone - we put in 10 rows of potatoes (5 yukon gold, 2.5 red pontiac and 2.5 kennebec), 3 rows of onions (red, yellow, and white), 1 row of fingerlings (la ratte, papa cacho, and purple peruvian), and 2 rows of sugar/snap peas. Geese and tundra swans overhead, woodpeckers in the forest, and in the greenhouse, the first seedlings are starting to sprout. Life is good in the garden!

A good turnout!
