Tuesday November 1 - highlights from the last few gardengrams

Here are a few recent highlights from Lloyd's gardengrams:

Thanks to all who helped pick up and store some 275 wheat straw bales a couple weeks ago.  With  what we had left, this should be a two-year supply.  We also got our rye/crimson clover cover crop in over almost all of the garden.  PLEASE DO NOT WALK ON TILLED GROUND.

And...thanks to all who have helped monitor our electric fence for storms and for running our drip irrigation system this fall.  We will soon be securing the water system for hard freezes.

Strawberry Field:  There are lots of plants under the weeds worth saving if you want to lend a hand.  I weeded a few feet the other day in a short time.  Please take care that there are four irrigation lines in line with the row end stakes.  A digging fork helps.
