Saturday September 15 - late summer harvesting
It's the late summer crops...eggplant, peppers, and for the first time, EDAMAME! To cook edamame, boil the water, then drop in the edamame for about 5 minutes, then drain & salt a bit. Pull the bean through your teeth to strip out the beans inside - don't eat the shell! If the beans are mushy, they've cooked too long. Below is an educational and funny video about edamame.
