The South County Community Garden continues the farming tradition at River Farm (1972 photo above), and donates the majority of the food to various community organizations - usually 200+ bushels.
Sunday Sept 24 - cleaning up
Warm day in the garden - pulled out all the rest of the sunflowers to get ready for the garlic rows and winter cover crops, cleaned out the greenhouse, harvested sweet potatoes for the seniors, some tomatillos, peas, okra and the last of the leeks. The greens in the fall garden are beautiful!
