Saturday March 5 - let the gardening begin!

Great to see old friends again and meet new members.  Lloyd gave us the report from last summer...we donated 150 bushels of food to the South County Senior Center and other home bound seniors and disabled adults (85%), Camp Wabana and YMCA Camp Letts (10%), and various South County food pantries (5%).  Great job everyone, especially given the summer drought/heat, tropical storm winds and rain and some mild blight.  We kicked off the 2016 garden season and planted 15 spring veggie flats:  cabbage(3), lettuce(4), beets(2) and 1 each of spinach, kohlrabi/rutabaga, bok choi, cilantro, dill and parsley.
