Sunday June 22 - more strawing and butterflies

This past weekend we finished strawing all the cucumbers, squash and melons, and prepped two more rows for beans.  Green tomatoes abound, not to be mistaken for the green (and toxic) potato fruit.  Both are from the nightshade family and have toxins that protect the plants from pests and disease.  We also dug up a lot of garlic because the tops were starting to lean over which introduces water (and rot).   The flower garden is beautiful, and filled with butterflies.  Plus another surprise - photo at the very bottom - imagine that thing coming towards you from the sky!
